Mission Statement

Christ Our Savior Catholic School is called to develop a Catholic Christian relationship with Jesus Christ as we celebrate our diversity, family, and community while striving for academic excellence in a safe and nurturing environment.

Vision Statement

Christ Our Savior Catholic School students are committed to a faith-filled life-style. They are life-long learners who have an appreciation of the arts, whose actions promote peace and justice in their families and communities with respect and acceptance for all members.

Philosophy

In accordance with our Mission, we believe that Catholic Education is important as it develops an awareness of who Jesus is and how to live by His teachings.  We challenge students to reach their full potential by recognizing their individual needs and educating the total child with the involvement of the family, the first teachers of the child, and the community.

EXCELLENCE IN ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

A Catholic education is a challenging education. High standards, strong motivation, effective discipline and an atmosphere of caring combine to foster excellence, and, a high quality of student performance is supported by the evidence. Catholic School students score significantly above the national averages on standardized testing.  Research shows that because of a greater emphasis on homework and study, Catholic School students develop more effective writing skills.  Catholic High School students attend post-secondary education at a rate in excess of 95% and are more likely to complete their program of studies. Catholic Schools have an excellent success rate in educating minority students.  While providing a stimulating and demanding education, Catholic Schools give students a high level of individualized attention and personal sharing.  This commitment is reinforced by participation in programs for advanced students and also for those experiencing difficulties in reading, writing, and math.
